Built by a ServiceTitan shop owner, for my own shop first

The problem
I'm Vinay Abburi. My wife Subha and I run a residential HVAC business in the Austin area, on ServiceTitan, with technicians in the field, a manager and customer service reps in the office.
The work was getting done. The money wasn't always following it. Jobs closed with no invoice or a $0 charge. Membership cards declined and the dues sat in AR for months. Replacement quotes were written at the truck and never called back. A financing payment landed on the wrong invoice and left a $20,683 balance looking unpaid. ServiceTitan had the data for all of it, spread across reports that nobody had time to open every evening.
Building FieldOps
I have a background in computer science and more than a decade in software and machine learning, so I built the reports I wanted as an owner: one evening email that lists what leaked today, with the dollar amount and the name of who to call, and call lists for the money that can still be recovered. It reads ServiceTitan and never changes it. If it can't get a clean read, it sends nothing rather than a wrong number.
FieldOps ran in our own shop first. In its first ninety days it turned $1.28M of open replacement quotes into a call list and found the $20,683 invoice that had already been paid. Those numbers are why it is now open to a small number of other ServiceTitan shops.
What's next: the owner dashboard
We're building an owner and office dashboard, FieldOps Operations, and testing it in our own shop. Each billing gap and open balance becomes a case with a named owner, a next step and a deadline. Every open invoice is accounted for, with its source and when it was last read. The owner gets a weekly digest of only the decisions that need them. It is not available to other shops yet.
Also from the same founder
I also founded Ranqly, marketing and team chat software for trades businesses.
